DOOM Eternal, the award-winning game and “one of the best first-person shooters ever” according to GameRevolution, is now available on Nintendo Switch. Developed by id Software and Panic Button, DOOM Eternal is the direct sequel to DOOM, winner of The Game Awards’ Best Action Game of 2016, and a game that I truly love!
Hell’s armies have invaded Earth. Become the Slayer in an epic single-player campaign to conquer demons across dimensions and stop the final destruction of humanity. The only thing they fear… is you (or enemies if you suck at this game that much as I! ;) ).
Seriously! I don't know how to play Doom Eternal on Nintendo Switch! I love id Software shooters, I grew up on Quake III Arena and I always enjoy playing shooters on PC. However, shooting on the Nintendo Switch is something that I can't deal with to this day.
Doom Eternal for Nintendo Switch is a great game, but not for me
Don't get me wrong! Doom Eternal is a great game and a very successful port for the Nintendo Switch. However, similar to the free to play: Warframe - aiming, and shooting on the console is a chore for me. I can play RPGs, I can play Mortal Kombat, but give me any shooter where I don't have a mouse and keyboard, and I can't handle it.
Playing on Nintendo Switch Lite is a real challenge!
I played the previous Doom on PC, and it was amazing! I fell in love with that game from the first hours, so I wanted to play Doom Eternal on Nintendo Switch as soon as possible. And I played it! The game looks outstanding, it's dynamic and you can have hella fun playing it. But I have to admit it, just like I couldn't handle Metroid in 3D on Nintendo 3DS, I can't handle Doom Eternal on Nintendo Switch ... shooters on consoles are just something that is not for me.
Is Doom Eternal worth playing?
Yes of course! But if you can't play shooters on consoles, you'd better do what I do... and play on PC with a mouse and keyboard ;)
